we make it possible, you make it happen

we are the only official, approved suppliers of self adhesive poppies, corner flags and armbands. Bringing poppies to pitches in support of the royal british legion.

It all began with an idea.

Poppies4Kits was founded in May 2014 after a youth game cancellation sparked the idea to raise funds for The Royal British Legion by encouraging players to wear poppies. Initially launched locally, the campaign gained nationwide attention via social media, raising £18,976.49 in its first year for the Norfolk branch.

In 2015, we became Corporate Partners with The Royal British Legion, supplying woven self-adhesive poppies. Despite challenges from COVID-19 in 2020, we continued with our mission of raising vital funds for the RBL. We introduced Black Poppy Armbands in 2021 and our efforts hit a record £40,886.64 in the same year. We then launched Poppy Corner Flags in 2023.

By 2024, we had raised over £325,000 for the RBL. Poppies4Kits' success reflects the strong support from clubs, and we aim to expand our reach and further promote remembrance.

a word from the rbl

Since 2015, the Royal British Legion and Poppies4Kits have been proud partners, working together to enable local grassroots sports clubs to show their support for the Armed Forces community. Through self-adhesive Poppy Patches, commemorative armbands, and bespoke corner flags, this initiative has provided sports clubs with a meaningful way to honour those who have served.

Poppies4Kits has played a vital role in increasing the Royal British Legion’s visibility within grassroots sports across the UK. By integrating the iconic poppy into local sports, the partnership has helped reinforce our core message of Remembrance and support for the Armed Forces community. Importantly, the removable self-adhesive Poppy Patch allows clubs to continue using their kits beyond Remembrance events, ensuring sustainability while maintaining the spirit of commemoration.

Since the partnership began, Poppies4Kits has raised over £325,000 in support of the Armed Forces community. Beyond fundraising, this collaboration has strengthened our ties with local sports organisations, providing communities with an accessible way to engage with Remembrance through their clubs and teams.

We are grateful for the continued impact of Poppies4Kits and look forward to growing this initiative in the years to come.
